January 2nd, 1358, Undermountain level 3
The group exist their rope trick well rested. They continue to explore the gauntlet. They find a room with 5 chests, all which contain treasure with no traps.
The group then decides to backtrack all the way to where they arrived. There, they discover a secret door leading to another well. The group tests out the water of the well and discover it heals all those who drink of it. They takes several vial in case the effect are lasting. They bathe the gem in the water and Enas Yorl appears. He speaks with them briefly and drinks from the water. After a moment where nothing happens, Enas looks distraught, cries out in despair and disappears.
The group returns to the room where they had discovered the chests of treasure and continue exploring.
The next room of note contains clear signs of recent battle and the remains of a cleric. When the group examines the corpse, a Glyph of Warding explodes. Nothing of interest is to found in the room so the group continues on. Soon, they come to a door through which clear signs of battle can be heard. The group enters and finds a battle between three adventurers and a large Shadow. The group helps and befriend the adventurers Garli, dwarf fighter, Zuket, halfling wizard and Hal, a human rogue. They explain they were trapped in the gauntlet in the last few hours and the corpse found in the previous area was their friend, the cleric Azan.
The two groups agree to help each other and fall back to the room with the healing water. There, it is discovered that the waters only work once a day for a person. It greatly helps the new group but does nothing for the PCs. Rope Trick is used again to hide and rest.
When they emerge, they realize that all the traps and monsters have been reset. They must fight their way through the same traps and obstacles they had. However, armed with their knowledge and the help of their new friends, the group forges ahead. In the first room, they catch the skull before it shatters, thus preventing the monsters from appearing. They dispatch the black pudding quickly. The five chests again contain treasure, which is shared with both groups.
At last, they come to the door leading to the room where the cleric had died. Garli tells them that several invisible stalkers should be in the room. The group prepares for battle.
